and Mrs. Leonard Litscher of McCausland, Iowa. The bride-elect, a graduate of Deer Creek-Mackinaw high school and Augustana College, Rock Island, teaches in the Davenport school system. Her fiance, a graduate of North Scott High School in Eldridge, Iowa, attends Augustana College. The wedding date of August 7 was formally announced at a luncheon at the Holiday Inn in East Peoria on Thursday, June 24.

Albert Gernenz were guests. Dr. Gernenz, executive minister of the Great Rivers region of American Baptists, brought the message. Among other outof -town guests were Mr. and Mrs.
Elwood Pearson of Stonington. Mrs. Pearson is the mother of our pastor. During the service a cake baked for the occasion by Mrs. H.
Robinson was a feature. A candle lit by Lisa Robinson was blown out by the oldest member present, Mrs. Robert Taylor. A resume of the history of the church was read by the clerk; a basket dinner at noon and refreshments at 4 p.m. completed the program.
A footing for a memorial bulletin board was poured last week on the Baptist church lawn. The masonary work is to be completed later. A wedding is planned for Miss Coleen Coulter and James Morris Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist Church of Peoria. Rev. Ray Smith will officiate.
Mrs. Kay Preuitt, the postmaster at Goodfield, attended the National League of Postmasters' State Convention in Carbondale. Kay reports an instructive and enjoyable time. Time out was taken to tour parts of southern Illinois. Among sights visited were Giant City park in the scenic Ozark area and Bald Nob with its outstanding cross.
A supper, served family style at Grant Tower, left memories of an outstanding trip. SAFETY GLASS RECOMMENDED Gov. Richard B. Dean Zimmerman' wedding at Christian church In a 2 p.m. single-ring ceremony Miss Inge Ann Wacker and Dean Andrew Zimmerman, exchanged vows on June 12 at the Eureka Christian Church, Rev. Marvin Cheney officiating. Miss Wacker is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Alexander Wacker, 111 N. Major, Eureka, and Mr. Zimmerman is the son of Mrs. Ernest Zimmerman, 614 Burton, Eureka.
Their wedding date was on the parents' 43rd wedding anniversary. Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose an ivory silk organza, princess silhouette styled gown. The gown featured petite sleeves, a high neckline, and imported Venice lace appliques on the bodice of the dress. Her Juliet cap was also appliqued with matching lace and English net with lace motifs falling to chapel sweep. She carried three white orchids in tinted orange ivy.
Mrs. Ilse Meyer, twin sister of the bride, Eureka, was matron of honor. She wore a beige, brown and orange printed voile gown with full 'sheer sleeves. A high neckline and empire waist with a semi-full skirt accented the gown. Other bridesmaids were dressed the same as the matron of honor and included Mrs.

She is a member of Phi Omega Sorority. Mr. Zimmerman, also a graduate of Eureka high school and college, is a football coach and English teacher at Washington high school.
