Bridal showers are such fun and special occasions. A lot of brides actually prefer a bridal shower to a bachelorette party because of how relaxed they tend to be. A bridal shower is typically a daytime event to celebrate a bride-to-be. The bride’s family and friends typically come together for this gift-giving ceremony days or weeks before her wedding day.
This is a different pace from the typical bachelorette which usually involves a party or two as well as some drinking and physical activities. If you’re attending a bridal shower, you can expect some food as well as some fun. During the winter months, it could be a little more challenging to put together a chic bridal shower outfit.

I would be splitting this post into two: what to wear to your own bridal shower as the bride-to-be and what to wear as a guest. We’ll start off with some great options of bridal shower dresses and fits worthy of a stylish bride. You want to stand out in your bridal shower look and here are some great options.
What to wear to your winter bridal shower
i) White sweater dress
You can create a warm yet chic look at your winter bridal shower by pairing a white sweater dress with a pair of white boots. As the guest of honor, you get to wear all white and this is a stylish way to do so. For a more formal bridal shower, opt for a long sweater dress with long sleeves. A pair of white ankle boots would work nicely.

For less formal bridal showers, a mini white sweater dress works fine. You could wow your guests by choosing a pair of tall white boots to make your white outfit really stand out. Accessorize with gold earrings.

If your bridal shower invitation does not mention a theme or dress code, I would check with the maid of honor. Regardless, avoid showing up in white unless it’s specifically mentioned to do so.
What to wear to a winter bridal shower as a guest
1) A floral dress
If the theme of the bridal shower welcomes florals, then by all means, go for it. With Spring not too far away, add some life to the special occasion by choosing a midi dress with floral prints. Pair it with a cardigan for some extra warmth. A pair of heels or heeled boots work great for footwear.

2) Sweater dress
If you are meant to show up in winter colors, then you could opt for a sweater dress in a rich color such as dark green or burgundy. Choose the color that compliments your skin tone best and then choose a sweater dress that comes in that color. A midi or maxi dress works better during the cold months.

3) A sweater and maxi skirt
A great way to show up to a bridal shower looking chic and warm is by pairing a nice sweater with a chic long skirt. If the theme is pastel colors, you get to have so much fun with this outfit. Try pairing two different pastel colors in your outfit to create a fashion-forward look.

Complete your perfect outfit with a pair of heels in a neutral color. Ankle boots are the best choice to go with long skirts as most of your leg is covered any way. For a more formal look, choose a fitted sweater.
4) Sweater and pants
Whether the theme involves pastel colors or not, you can always opt for a classic sweater and pants look, A pair of black pants could be paired with a sweater in a different color for a look you could take from the office to the party. If the bridal shower is taking place at a country club, slip into a pair of heels upon reaching your destination.
